WELCOME 2007!

2006 Is Almost Over!
But there are some really cool things happening at Trinity Photography these days! We've had our Beckham Group photo/ad layout printed in DMagazine, Texas Monthly, and Texas Superlawyers, and we will soon have another image in Texas Superlawyer's Rising Star Magazine. Although we worked hard on the image, we had some help with the lighting from Miguel Pardo, a local Dallas Wedding/Portrait photographer.

We Have A New Assistant!
We have a new face around the studio now. Jessica joined us recently and is planning to graduate from UTD this Spring. She'll be assisting with office procedures and helping me during portraits and weddings. She's been doing a great job and we're so excited to have her!

We've Added More Products!
We've added more products and albums to our repertoire and we know you will love them! We have some exclusive album cover materials that are available for a limited time only (black, red, and ivory ostritch, super suede, and leather colors like paris pink, bubblegum, butter, and paprika!). If you would like the opportunity to order one of our new products or upgrade your current album with a new cover, call our office at 214.566.2465 or email us.

Have A Happy & Safe New Year!
We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and has a happy and safe New Year! We look forward to sharing 2007 with you!

SWEET 16

We were recently contacted by Rob Johnson from MyWedding.com regarding a special needs young lady here in Dallas. Chantrell Clements was severely injured as a baby and wasn't expected to live through the night of her accident. After multiple brain surgeries and therapy, Chantrell survived, but is severly handicapped and confined to a wheelchair.

Chantrell's mother, Paula Jackson, found MyWedding.com and was so impressed with the quality of the vendors that she contact Rob. Through their conversation, Paula expressed her sorrow that Chantrell would never experience a wedding due to her handicap. Paula was in the process of searching for vendors for her daughter's sweet 16 and Rob offered to locate vendors from MyDallasWedding.com who would donate their time and services to the family.

By the grace of God, 16 years later, Chantrell was able to celebrate her Sweet 16 with her family and friends at the Cathedral of Faith in Dallas, Texas. We were honored to provide our photographic services to Chantrell and her family. You can view Chantrell's big day at: chantrellclements.com. You can also read the article I wrote for the Dallas Morning News at: Mesquite Neighbors

Rob, Paula, Jeremy, and I would also like to thank the following vendors for their support and contributions to Chantrell.

GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY!

A famous line for robbers, right? Well, last week I heard it for real. No, I wasn't held up, but the gas station I was in was held up. Jeremy and I were shopping and I headed for the front door when I heard Jeremy practically hissing my name. Immediately I turned around thinking what is his problem?! He was directing me to come to him and get on the floor. I could tell then that there was something going on up front. I looked over to my left and less than 20 feet away was an armed gunman demanding all the cash in the register. I ran over to Jeremy and fell to the floor. He huddled over me and we waited. The whole time I'm praying to Jesus and thinking about scenes in the news and movies where people get shot for looking at the robbers. I deliberately kept my face down and my hands around my eyes. I kept waiting to hear a gun go off, but it never did. It wasn't until after he left that Jeremy told me the guy looked right at him with his run in his hand. I didn't know until then that there was actually a gun present.

Of course, after the guy leaves (on a bicycle!!! Can you believe it?!), we're locked in there for over an hour giving testimonies and such. It was really awful, but I am SO thankful that my two year old daughter wasn't there with us. I would have been hysterical... seriously.

The lessons we learned - Don't find yourself in a gas station that sells alcohol after dark in a not-so-great part of town. You never know what can happen. AND, God is definitely watching out for us and for the man with a wife and kids behind the register who was on the business end of that hand gun.
